Russian Film Week in Cyprus is organized in the framework of the project of European Capital of Culture Pafos2017,by the production company ELS Production with the support of the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation, Embassy of the Russian Federation in Cyprus, Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in the Russian Federation, with the participation of the Society for friendship and cultural relations with Greece and Cyprus 'FILIA' and the Friendship Society “Cyprus-Russia”, in partnership with Cyprus Tourism Organization and Coral Beach Hotel&Resort.
The whole organisation is sponsored by the travel agency ‘Tecoma Services Limited’ and the artist ‘Lia Cureeva’.
The views are intended to establish in Cyprus audience the Russian culture and to contribute to cooperation, development and strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries.

Screening of the film "Pure Art" (2016), which will be presented by the actress of the Russian Central Academic Armed Forces Theater, honored with the award "People's Artist of the Soviet Union ", Lyudmila Tchursina.
In the framework of the cinema screening of the 4th October, the Russian Center of Science and Culture will give a reception, which will be attended by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. S. Osadchiy, well known political and business of Cyprus, as well as prominent personalities of art and culture. The Russian film industry will be represented at the reception by the famous film director Karen Shakhnazarov, the actresses Lyudmila Tchursina and Valentina Telitchkina and others.
