The actor performs a selection of poems, prose and excerpts from the poet’s correspondence. Kariotakis’ words are the protagonist in this piece, condensed “in the shadow of the last hours”, within our own imagined time and place of his suicide. Beyond truth and myth, and considering a number of studies on his personality, we let his work speak for itself, reminding us, hopefully, of the emblematic and historical transition from the “ancient world” of Hellenic literature to contemporary Greek poetry.
