Temporary exhibition
First Generation of Cypriot Artists from the Surikov Academy of Fine Arts in Moscow

The Loukia & Michael Zampelas Art Museum presents the temporary exhibition First Generation of Cypriot Artists from the Surikov Academy of Fine Arts in Moscow. The first generation of graduates consists of Andreas Charalambous, Christos Foukaras, Mariam Suhanova - Foukara, Hambis Tsangaris, Andreas Makariou, Kyriakos Tamanas and George Gavriel.
Free guided tours of the temporary exhibition every Friday by reservation.

Mosaic Workshop for seniors
Inspired by the Museum’s collection of mosaics, participants are given a brief introduction to this art form before going on to create their own small-scale mosaic objects.

A Christmas tree for Takis by Eugenios Triviza
Educational programme and creative workshop for children ages 6-12 led by Museum educator Kypros Georgiou based on the children’s book by Eugenios Trivizas, where the children will recreate the tradition of trimming and decorating a Christmas tree at the Museum.

The Zampelas Art Museum in collaboration with the Ministry of Education & Culture brings the 4th Philanthropic Art Exhibition by Secondary Education School art teachers. The price of all artworks will be set at 50 Euro and all proceeds will go to the funds for secondary education students in need.

My Christmas Fairytale
Drawing workshop for children ages 9-14
Given a pocket size Concertina book children create their own imaginative story with pencils, markers and paper based on Christmas and the holidays.

The Gifts of the Gnomes
The performers, Μarina Katsari and Theodoris Costidakis invite children ages 5-12 to actively take part in the performance that they will put on through theatre games and role play.

Creative workshop for children ages 6-12 based on the short animation The Snowman (1982). The Snowman is a 26-minute animated TV movie by Dianne Jackson, based on the wordless picture-book of the same name by the English writer Raymond Briggs, which was first published in 1978. After the screening of the animation the children will then create their very own paper snowman.
