CUTTING OF THE VASILOPITTA OF EOS AT XYLIATOS DAM
Departure at 8:00 from APOEL training field at Archangelos, or at Xyliatos Dam at 9:00.
Starting point: Xyliatos Dam
Length: 12 kilometres around Xyliatos Dam and in the surrounding forest area.
Difficulty Level: 1 Easy trail, without particular terrain problems.
PIC-NIC will follow, Cutting of vasilopitta and Lottery of gifts at Xyliatos Dam.
Bring along whatever you like for a good PIC-NIC. PIC-NIC will start at about 12:30.

ROUTE AT ANDREAS’ TRAIL (LINEAR)
Departure at 8:00, from APOEL training field at Archangelos or at the trail’s starting point at 9:00.
Starting point: MANTRA TOU KAMPIOU pic-nic site (Machairas Monastery road)
Length of route: 6 kilometers (12 kilometers with return)
Difficulty Level: 3 with particular terrain characteristics, steep slopes (uphill or/and downhill). The trail is not clear, but it is accessible and not at all “scary”.
The trail was opened by Andreas Zachariou, founder of the Club in 1997 with a lot of labour. Very beautiful trail that ends in an extremely “wild” environment with small falls if the river is running. The route untill the beginning of the trail will be in a forest road, of about 3 kilometers.

FIKARDOU – KALO CHORIO (RIVER OF MAROULLENA)
Departure at 8:00, from APOEL training field at Archangelos or at Fikardou village at 9:00.
Starting point: the traditional village of Fikardou
Length of route: 11 kilometers
Difficulty Level: 2 Medium difficulty level, without particular problems in terrain characteristics.
The trail follows from the traditional village of Fikardou a natural environment rich in flora and fauna, offers panoramic views of the surrounding area and finishes at the river of Maroullena.
The area of the river of Maroullena is included in the areas of the European network of the protection of Nature, Natura 2000. It is a very interesting area with volcanic rock formations, endemic protected plants, etc, which is reported also in the CD Troodos ….kai egeneto Kypros.
