The Famagusta Marathon will take place for the first time on October 12, 2025, in free area of Famagusta District, in collaboration with the municipalities of Paralimni – Deryneia, Ayia Napa – Sotira. The event is being organized by Game On Marketing, a company specializing in sports event management, with the support of S.A.S Sports Events.
The race program includes:
Marathon (42 km): For experienced runners looking to challenge their endurance on a demanding course. Half-Marathon (21 km): For those wanting to participate in a shorter yet equally competitive race. 10 km Race: Designed for intermediate runners seeking a slightly shorter challenge. 5 km Race: Perfect for beginners and those who want to test their abilities over a short distance, also open to corporate teams. 1 km Children’s Race: A fun and engaging race for children, offering them a chance to experience the joy of athletics.Registrations for all races will be conducted online. The Famagusta Marathon aims to highlight the free area of Famagusta District both locally and internationally, while also stimulating the area’s economy during a time when tourism begins to wane. Additionally, the event will raise awareness about the ongoing issue of the occupied town and district of Famagusta, particularly among international participants.
