In the framework of the “Young Collectors” series, the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation will host two educational workshops for teenagers, titled “Drawing Nature”.
The workshops aim at thoroughly observing objects in nature and tracing them on paper. Seashells, insects, flowers and other natural things will serve as source of inspiration for beginners – and not just them – who love nature and its miracle. Participants in the workshop will be taught measuring techniques for accurate proportions and how to prepare for watercolour paintings with the use of pencils and watercolours.
The “Young Collectors” series unfolds in parallel to the “Collectors” series of lectures for adults. The aim of the series is to bring children into contact with topics pertaining to the history and culture of Cyprus through interactive events, to cultivate love for “collecting” amongst the younger generations and convey the basic principles that will contribute to both the creation and preservation of our island’s cultural heritage.
