In 1998, Michael Frayn received five Best Theatrical Play awards for his play 'Copenhagen': Evening Standard Award, Drama Desk Award, New York Drama Critics' Circle, Tony Award and Prix Molière. Translated and directed by Andreas Araouzos, we will have the opportunity to watch this wonderful example of historical and literary genius in a directed stage reading, at the Constantine Leventis Auditorium of the A. G. Leventis Gallery.
In 1941, the physicist Werner Heisenberg (Andreas Araouzos), who formulated the famous Uncertainty Principle and lead the Nazi Nuclear Program, visited his old mentor, Nils Bohr (Varnavas Kyriazis), in Copenhagen. What was the purpose of his visit to the Nazi-occupied Denmark? What did the two old friends talk about, Bohr being Danish and half Jewish, in the presence of his wife, Margret Bohr (Panagiota Papageorgiou)? The writer suggests that as impossible as it is to be sure of the exact position of an electron, it is equally impossible to know the way in which the mind works...
