Agathou Spiros:
Spyros Agathou was born in 1976 in Lefkosia. He is originally from Larnaka where he lives and works. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts “Pietro Vannucci” Perugia, Italy, where he attended a four - year programme in Painting. He graduated with honours and distinction. In 2003 he attended the Postgraduate degree in Theory and Practice of Contemporary Art, at the University Complutense, Madrid, Spain. In 2002 he was awarded with distinction at the contest of Engraving “3rd Premio Giovanni Biella per l’incisione 2002” in Italy. In 2010, his engraving work was honourably mentioned at the competition “Telemachos Kanthos”. In 2014 he received the second prize in Engraving in the same competition. In October 2007 he presented his first solo exhibition entitled MIMNISKO at the Gallery Kypriaki Gonia, Larnaka. He has participated in many group exhibitions in Cyprus and abroad. Since 2007 with Antonis Tziarrides, he is one of the founders of the interactive educational workshop for children spyrA.art.studio in Larnaka.
AntonisTziarridis
AntonisTziarridis was born in 1980. He lives and works in Larnaca. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. He mainly works with construction and experiments with different materials such as ceramic figurines, old photos, yarn, concrete etc. He participated in various group exhibitions in Cyprus and abroad. He is one of the spyrAgroup. On 6 March 2013 he presented his first solo exhibition entitled STORYBOX in KypriakiGonia Gallery. On 5 September 2014 he presented his video art experiment entitled «Break it or Leave it», as part of the exhibition "without words" at the Municipal Gallery Larnaka. In March 2017 he will present his second solo exhibition at Diatopos Contemporary Art Center in Lefkosia.
Born and raised in Larnaca, Costas Iacovou studied architecture in London where he specialised in bioclimatic building design.
Costas Iacovou
In 2005, Costas returned to Cyprus where he co-founded architectural platform Fluid Architecture. Costas now designs and implements large-scale architectural projects, decorative works and installations, many of which have been published in well-known local and European architectural magazines.
Costas has twice won European competitions for housing design, and has been nominated for a Hotel Design Show award, in Athens. His work can be found on display in numerous private and public collections and also currently in group exhibitions in Cyprus. Costas Iacovou will be showcasing a selection of his work as part of our group exhibition from 13 – 28 October 2017.
