The 3rd Cyprus Photomarathon was organised last April by the Cyprus Photographic Society – Pafos Section, in the context of the Community Involvement programme of the European Capital of Culture – Pafos2017.
The participants competed in 4 subjects that were given to them at the starting point and had to deliver their photographs in 4 hours time. The exhibition presents those photographs that were distinguished in each of the 4 subjects of the competition, after their evaluation by a 3-member committee.
The Photomarathon process encourages one to view the town from a different perspective, to discover new meanings in known and unknown areas and to explore ways of depicting ideas, thoughts, feelings and rhythms of life within the town itself.
