Logicom Cyprus Marathon is the most historic marathon of Cyprus, held since 1999 in the ancient capital of Cyprus, the historic city of Pafos. Logicom Cyprus Marathon is an event that has grown bigger and better over the years and hosts over 3,600 runners from some 65 countries.
The event incorporates four different distances: Marathon, Half Marathon, the 10 km Road Race and the 5 km Fun Run. The Marathon course will start from Petra tou Romiou (Birthplace of Aphrodite goddess of love and beauty) and finish at the Pafos Mediaeval Fort Square. The Half Marathon the 10 km Road Race and the 5 km Fun Run will start and finish at the Pafos Medieval Fort Square nearby the Pafos fishing harbour, which is also the event’s central location where a number of services are located, the award ceremony takes place and is created a buzzy atmosphere. Moreover, the Logicom Cyprus Marathon features a number of parallel-events; the Marathon Expo, the Cyprus Marathon Symposium and the Cyprus Wine Run.
The Logicom Cyprus Marathon is certified by AIMS ‘Association of International Marathons and Distances Races’ and the ‘World Athletics and it is also included in the running calendar of the Cyprus Amateur Athletic Federation. The event is dedicated to the Marathon Legend, Stelios Kyriakides.
