The Cyprus International Film Festival (CYIFF) is an annual film festival held in Cyprus.
The festival takes place in Pafos in cooperation with the Cultural International Festivals. The International Film Festival of Cyprus operates since 2006 as an independent non-profit organization. CYIFF is the first international film festival held in Cyprus with a “competition section” in categories that include feature, short, animation, video art/dance/music, humanitarian, sport, and children films, devoted exclusively to independent emerging filmmakers. The festival presents the Golden Aphrodite and Special Awards selected by a jury committee by acclaimed professionals from the film industry; it also features seminars, workshops and conferences for upcoming directors.
All proceeds from the Box Office benefit a charitable organisation in Pafos.
